Clinic Policies

Please find below some important clinic policies; a full version can be sent to you via email upon request:

Code of Conduct
Discrimination, harassment or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in the immediate termination of the patient from the practice.

Masking
We require all patients to wear a mask when at our clinic

Late Arrivals
All patients are expected to arrive on time for their appointments. Our clinic may or may not be able to accommodate late patients. Please call ahead if you think you may be late!

Appointment Limitations
To ensure your concerns are appropriately and safely assessed, appointments may be limited to one concern per visit.

Communication
Please have an up-to-date email address that you check regularly on file as this is one of our main methods of communication (e.g. results, requisitions)

Rogers Email
Please note our email is not monitored daily. As such, DO NOT use this as a means to communicate urgent matters.
If you have a medical concern or question, please book an appointment; these emails may otherwise be left unaddressed.
Please note, the Rogers email is NOT PHIPA compliant so we recommend limiting personal information exchanged via this method of communication

Results
For Dr. Ahmed patient’s, no news is NOT good news – if you have not been contacted within the expected timeframe, please call the office to inquire +/- book an appointment to review.

Referrals
Please call our office if you do not hear back from the specialist’s office within 3-4 weeks of a referral being sent, sooner if it was marked urgent.

Prescription Renewals
Please allow 2 weeks notice when requesting a prescription renewal from your pharmacy. You may be asked to book an appointment to discuss the request if deemed medically necessary.
Please note, prescription renewals without an appointment, is a non-OHIP covered service and will result in a fee.
